August Favourites

Hey everyone, first of all, where has this month gone! I'm going to be sharing with you all of my favourites from the month of August.

My first favourite has to be my sleek contour kit! Honestly contouring is probably my favourite thing to do on my face, if that makes any sense at all. This bronzer is perfect because it doesn't look muddy or orange on your skin and it just gives a really nice, natural glow on your cheekbones. I use this with the real techniques expert face brush.

I have also really been liking the collection eyebrow kit. Eyebrows are really important as I feel like the frame your face and they make such a difference to your face. This kit comes with three eyeshadows, a little clear mascara and a brush which I actually use. It's smaller than my real techniques brow brush so it's more precise.

My final makeup favourite this month has been the rimmel london clear complexion powder. This is really good to mattify your face and because its transparent, it doesn't make you look cakey.

On to some random favourites. My favourite song of the month has been Glitterball by Sigma feat. Ella Henderson. I jut love it! Go and check it out if you haven't already.

My favourite "moment" of this month has got to be meeting Marcus Butler at his book signing. This was such a special moment and it will stay with me forever!

My favourite TV show of the month is Gossip Girl! I've been watching this on Netflix and I'm slightly addicted. I'm on season 4 and it's so good! My favourite characters are Blair, Chuck, Derota and Dan.

My favourite book of this month has been Looking For Alaska by John Green. This book is my favourite John Green book so far, I really recommend it!

My favourite film was Paper Towns. I went to see this in the cinema and it was such a good film! It is so close to the book which I really liked and it was really funny :)

So that's it for my monthly favourites. Tell me your favourites in the comments.

My Makeup Picks For Autumn

Hey everyone, so as Autumn is sort of approaching us, I thought I would show you my makeup essentials for Autumn!

Starting off with the sleek lipstick in vamp. This is the perfect dark red lipstick. The only bad thing I have to say about this is that it's matt and it doesn't apply very evenly so I usually put on a lip balm on before.

Moving on to this mac lipstick in "hug me". Ah I love this lipstick so much! It's a lustre finish so its not matt and its not drying at all. It goes on very evenly and its very pigmented.

My next makeup pick is the sleek blush in "antique". This is a really pretty dark brown blush with hints of shimmer in to give you a nice glow. You could also use this as a bronzer if you wanted to.

The next pick is the benefit watts up highlighter. This is a really pretty cream highlighter. A great dupe for this is the highlighter in the sleek contour kit. I prefer cream highlighters because I feel like they give more of a glow especially in the duller months.

Lastly is the sleek eyeshadow palette in "au naturel". I would recommend this to anyone! It comes with 12 highly pigmented neutral shades, 8 matt and 4 glitter. The only bad thing I have to say about this palette is that the glitter eyeshadows don't blend very well but the other ones do so it's all good.

So there you have it, my five make up picks for Autumn. Leave me a comment saying your go to lipstick for Autumn because I would love to check them out.

How To Be More Organised

Hey everyone, I would consider myself to be an organised person so I thought I would share with you five tips on how to be more organised.

1. Have a planner/diary
Having a planner enables you to plan out tasks and things you need to do in advance. I prefer to have a physical list of things I need to do rather than writing it on my phone because it feels more rewarding to tick it off.

2. Colour coding
Colour coding is probably one of my favourite things to do ever!!! I like to have different categories for my planner and a different colour for each category. The picture will make more sense trust me. Colour coding is very useful as it allows you to associate a colour with a certain task. I love colour coding so much, my phone is organised into colour sections.

3. Have a place for everything
This is very important if you want to have a tidy and organised room. Make sure that every item in your room has a place to go. For example, I have shelves under my desk and each shelf has a certain category. My top shelf is home to all of my magazines (lush, boots and shout) The bottom self is where all of my candles live. You get the idea.

4. Have a de-clutter
Getting rid of all of your old things that you are hoarding but know that you will never use is one of the most important things ever! It makes your room look so much tidier and you will have more room for all of the things that you use. I recommend having a big sort out maybe twice a year (especially after Christmas.)

5. Organise your phone
This really ins't necessary but if your like me and can't stand a messy, unorganised phone, then this is essential. There are two ways you can organise your phone/device. If you prefer things to be grouped according to category then put all of your apps into folders according to their use. For example, have a folder called "social" and put in all of your apps such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram etc. Some folder names could be: social, photography, prodctivity, games, extras. If you prefer your phone to look more asthetic you can, as I mentioned earlier, sort your phone out according to the colour of the app. All of your red and orange apps in a folder, all of your yellow apps etc. A fun way to name these folders is with colourful emojis

So, I hope that you have taken away a few tips from that post. Thank you for reading

My Skincare Routine!

I'm so excited to be sharing this with you guys! I have been adding a lot of awesome new products to my skincare routine lately and I have really noticed a difference to my skin since I have. I have always been big on skincare products and I love watching skin care routine videos and reading blog posts.

Morning:
In the morning, I use the No7 foaming cleanser (left) to wash my face and I usually do this in the shower. Next, I use the No7 gentle toner (middle) to close my pores and refresh my skin. Finally I use the No7 day cream (right) to lightly moisturise my face.

Night:
My night skincare is more advanced because I have more time. Firstly, I use the garnier micellar water to remove my makeup.

Next I wash my face with the benefit foamingly clean facial wash. About three times a week, I was this off with the No7 exfoliating sponge. I got this in a set of six skincare minis from benefit and I will definitely be repurchasing this when I run out!

Once a week, I use the boots exfoliating face scrub. I have used this once and you can feel this exfoliating your skin which I love! Exfoliating helps to remove dead skin cells leaving your skin look smooth and even. It also unclogs pores.

Next I use the benefit toning lotion. I really like this because it tones and moisturises all in one!

After this I use the benefit eye cream. Personally, I can't really see a big difference in my under eyes but it has brightened them a little bit.

Lastly, I use the benefit total moisture face cream to moisturise my face.

The whole benefit range smells so nice and soothing and I would totally recommend trying out the skincare set that I linked earlier because it's only £15.50 (the same price as a mac lipstick!)

I hope that you have discovered a few new products that you can add to your skincare routine but if not I hope that you enjoyed.

Tips To Live A Healthier Lifestyle

Hey everyone, so I thought I would share with you six tips on how to live a healthier lifestyle. In no way am I a health expert but I have picked up a few tips over the last few months on how to be healthier so I thought I would share them with you.

1. Eat more fruit and vegetables!
This is probably the hardest thing to do. Trying to put down the chocolate and eat an apple instead, yeah that never happens. You don't need to eat less, just eat more of the good stuff. Try to eat at least 3-5 fruit and vegetables a day.

2. Make healthy swaps
This means to swap unhealthy foods with more healthy foods. For example, rather than having a packet of crisps or a chocolate bar with your lunch, have a portion of grapes or an apple.

3. Exercise regularly
I know that it is very difficult to find the motivation to get out of bed to workout but you feel amazing afterwards. Workout DVD's are really good and they usually have really quick 10 minute workouts that really work you hard.

4. Do yoga
Yoga helps you to feel calm and relaxed whilst making you more flexible. It really helps you to clear your head and focus on what is important to you

5. Set yourself goals
This tip is to set your self goals and reward yourself when one is completed. This helps you to aim for something and will hopefully make you more motivated.

6. Do it for you
If you want to be healthier and fitter make sure that you are doing it for you and not for anyone else because you won't feel as motivated to be healthier if you don't want to be.

Remember that you are beautiful the way you are. Don't feel the need to change for anyone but yourself because anyone that doesn't like you the way you are is not worth your time.

Beauty Haul | Summer 2015

Hey everyone, so I popped into boots the other day and accidentally picked a few things up so I thought I would share them with you.

Firstly I picked up a few essentials: deodorant and nail polish remover

Next I picked up two of the Maybelline colour elixers. I got the shades "caramel infused" (left) and "signature scarlet" (right) As you can see in the swatches, they are both insanely pigmented and they were only £6.99 each.

I also picked up the collection brow kit and oh my gosh this is amazing! Considering it was only £3.99 it's really good. I got the shade blonde which is the lightest shade and I mix the middle shade with the one on the right to create the perfect colour for my brows. It also comes with a brow mascara which I haven't tried yet.

Me and my mom love Sally Hansen so when we saw that they released a gel collection we had to get it! My mom brought the colour "pretty piggy" and I brought the top coat. Honestly, this nail polish is so amazing! It claims to last 14 days so we'll see about that.

The last makeup item I picked up was the No7 lip liner in "red" These are such good quality and I love the fact that it is a small nib because it makes the lines very precise.

The next three things I got were skincare items. Firstly I picked up the No7 exfoliating sponge because I had been eyeing this up for ages so when I finally found it, I had to get it.

Lastly, I picked up two of the tee tree and witch hazel products. I got the exfoliating face scrub. I haven't tried this out yet but I'm excited too and I will probably mention it in my skincare routine. The last thing I got was the spot wand. Again I haven't tried this out yet but I have had a spot stick before and it worked really well so I am excited to try this.

That is the end of my beauty haul. You might have found a new item you want to buy (sorry about that) or you might have just enjoyed it. Let me know what products you think I should try out.

My Current Favourites

Hello everyone, today I thought I would share with you the things I'm currently loving! All of these items are more pink/gold toned because its summer even though the weather is showing to be more like Autumn (the joys of England)
Starting off with a mac lipstick (surprise, surprise) This is in the shade "please me" It's a matt formula so ,if you don't know,it means its not shiny. It's the perfect pink shade and its very pigmented.

My next favourite is quite unusual for me as I personally prefer benetint, but these past few months I have been reaching more for lollitint. It is a lip and cheek tint so it can be used as a blush or a lip stain. Again its very pigmented but I find it very difficult to blend so I mainly use it as a lip stain.

Carmex! This is an absolute lifesaver for chapped and sunburnt lips (trust me it can happen) I don't rally know what else to say, its just fabulous.

This is the sleek blush in rose gold, Its a stunning colour with gold under tones so it gives a gorgeous highlight on your cheeks which is perfect for summer.

Lastly, no surprise for anyone, the naked 3 palette which basically everyone owns. This palette has 12 gorgeous rose gold shades perfect for spring/summer. The colours are highly pigmented and I really recommend it.

So those are my current favourites. Let me know yours in the comments  and I might feature them in another post.
